When you hire a postpartum doula from Postpartum Bliss, you’re investing in rest, recovery, and expert guidance. Whether it’s providing care for your babies through the night, supporting you with feeding, or helping keep the nursery organized, our goal is to ease your transition into parenthood and help you feel confident every step of the way—even with twins or triplets in tow.

What Does a Night with Your Postpartum Doula Look Like?

When a member of the Postpartum Bliss team arrives at your home, we’ll take a few moments to connect with you. This gives us time to address any questions, review how the day went, and discuss your goals and expectations for the evening. Once everything is settled, you can head to bed, knowing your babies are in loving and capable hands.

Throughout the night, your doula will handle everything your babies need, allowing you to rest and recharge:

Soothing, swaddling, burping, and diaper changes for all babies.
Exclusive overnight care for bottle-fed babies is optional, giving parents a full night’s rest.
Support for breastfeeding parents, including guidance and encouragement during tandem feeding or pumping sessions, along with refilling water and offering snacks (because making milk for multiples is even harder work!).
Cleaning bottles, pump parts, and ensuring everything is ready for the day ahead.
Refilling the nursery or baby cart, including organizing and restocking supplies for multiples.
Expertly distinguishing between active sleep noises and waking cues for each baby, ensuring you get restorative, healing sleep while we care for your little ones.

What Kind of Support Can You Expect from Your Doula?

Think of us as your personal baby guides through this new and exciting journey. You don’t have to do it alone! Our role is to offer:

Fact-based information and education on all things newborn, with a special focus on the needs of multiples.
Expert care for feeding (including tandem feeding support), swaddling, diapering, burping, soothing, and cord care.
Supportive or exclusive overnight newborn care, tailored to your feeding preferences, whether breast, bottle, or combination feeding.
Emotional, informational, and physical support for breastfeeding or pumping parents, including tips for managing milk supply for multiples.
Assistance with nursery organization, including laundry, washing bottles and pump parts, and keeping items for multiples ready to go.

Scheduling Options

Choose from 1–7 nights a week, with shifts running 10 hours each.

From feeding schedules to sleep strategies, Rachel’s expertise ensures your family feels supported, confident, and rested.

While Rachel is our go-to expert for multiples, our entire team is experienced in supporting families with twins and triplets. If Rachel is unavailable for direct care, another skilled doula will provide exceptional support while working closely with Rachel for guidance. Every family also benefits from a 1-on-1 Ask Anything phone call with Rachel for tailored advice and guidance.

Prenatal Meetings:Welcome Home and Rest & Recover Packages include 1 meeting (up to 1 hour, in-person or virtual).
Nest & Nurture and Thrive Together Packages include 2 meetings (up to 2 hours each, in-person or virtual).
Customized routines for feeding, soothing, and sleep.
Text support: Responses provided as quickly as possible, guaranteed within 24 hours, with follow-up plans emailed if needed.
NICU Support: If applicable, our doulas can assist with overnight care at the hospital (depending on hospital policies) or help with the transition from NICU to home.

5 overnight shifts (10 hours each).
